Business Etiquette

Hi guys!

We have been discussing about business etiquette and I would like to give you some examples of how you should behave in a business and of the formal rules you should follow.

Watch your language

Verbal and written communications are often much less formal than in times past but be careful to choose your words wisely. Of course, derogatory, rude of offensive language is unacceptable, but so is slang.

Don’t interrupt

Most of the time we want to offer our own opinions no matter if someone is talking or not. We often interrupt in the middle of a sentence to announce our point of view. That’s very rude and shows disrespect for the other opinions.

No phone during meetings

When you’re on a meeting you should stay focused on the topic which is being discussed. That’s why you should always keep your phone in your pockets. Don’t take calls or check e-mails. It will distract you from the meeting and it’s also very unpolite and rude.

In the business world, good manners are essential for getting ahead. Proper etiquette can help people land jobs, get promotions, and establish excellent relationships with others.

I hope you liked my posting about business etiquette and learned something about how to behave in the business world.
