How to reduse stress!?

Image
Hi! In our english lesson we have recently been talking about our freetime activities. We talked about what we used to do when we want to reduse stress. So now I want to tell you what I usally do when I want to reduse stress. When I was younger, at the age of 10 to 13 I went to the volleyball club in my village twice a week for two ours to reduce stress. I really liked it and it was lots of fun playing volleyball with my friends . But then I got a new hobby. I started playing the guitar. I did that everyday for at least two hours. That helped me a lot to avoid stress and it also made me feel better when I was sad. Then I started to play other instruments, too. But about half a year ago I had an accident while playing the guitar, so now I'm not able to play instruments any longer. So what I do now to reduse stress is the following. I often meet my friends. We're going to partys or to the cinema most of the time. That helps me a lot to distract myself from all the stress...

MY FAVOURITE SINGER

Image
My favourite singer is Bruno Mars.  I really like his songs. For example “Talking to the moon”, “Grenade”, “The lazy song”, “Just the way you are”, “Uptown funk” and so on. I really like the lyrics and the melody in his songs. Bruno Mars is one of six children and comes from a musical family, they taught him many musical styles like reggae, rock, hip hop and R & B. Bruno Mars really learned a lot from his big family. He began making music at a young age. He began his career as a music producer and produced songs, including for Flo Rida, Alexandra Burke, Travie McCoy, Adam Levine, Brandy, Cobra Starship, B.o.B., Sean Kingston and the Sugababes. His first successful single was called “Nothin 'on You”, in which he was guest musician at BoB .It became his first number one hit in the U.S. and number one in the UK and the Netherlands. In May 2010 he released his debut album. Then the album peaked at number three on the Billboard 200 . Mars was nominated for seven Grammys...

Shopping

Hi! We have recently been talking about shopping at school. So I thought I could tell you something about that topic because you might be interested. When I go shopping I usually go to Linz at the "Plus City" because there are a lot of different options where you can shop at. For example: electrical shops, restaurants, shoe shops, and of course shops where you can by clothes. This is a very big and modern shopping centre. I usally go shopping for two or three hours there. A few days ago I was at the "Plus City" in Linz and there I bought lots of new stuff: a pair of jeans, three T-Shirts and a pair of shoes. I bought this at Peek & Cloppenburg, Esprit and Humanic. Of course I saw lots of other stuff at the shopping centre but of course I can't by everthing. I hope now you know a little bit more about my shopping habits.

Austrian food

Dear Mandy, Thanks for your e-mail. Let me give you some informations about food and table manners in Austria and also in my family Some typical table manners in Austria are: Remain Standing until you are invited to sit down. You may be shown to a seat. Table manners are continental - the fork is held in the left hand and the knife in the right while eating. Put your napkin on your lap as soon as you sit down. Do not begin eating until the host or hostess says "Mahlzeit" or "Guten Appetit". Cut as much of your food with you fork as possible, because this compliments the cook by saying the food is very tender. Don't talk or slurp and don't make some other strange noises while eating Finish everything on your pate because that says that the food is very tasty. Indicate you have finished eating by laying your knife and fork parallel on your plate. When you go to a restaurant you don't have to give a tip but it would be polite to give on...

My room

Hi Today I want to talk about my room. My room is not the biggest one but I think it's a normal size.  Almost everything in my room is made out of wood. My bed is on the left side of my room. Next to it there is my wardrobe, my desk and a chair. There is also a little white couch and a green carpet in my room. Next to my couch there are a lot of instruments like my two acoustic guitars an electric guitar a bass guitar an amplifier and a cajon. I really like my room and  I hope now you can imagine what my room looks like.
