Family life in Britain

I have just read an article in my English book. I thought you might be interested because it talks about Family life in Britain.
Basically what it says is how the people in Britain are living nowadays. Once the typical family was headed by two parents, but now the number of single-parents is increasing very fast.
It is also mentioned that people are generally getting married at a later age now and women do not want to have children immediately because they prefer to concentrate on their jobs.
What surprised me was that a lot of people in Britain do not want to get married any more.


As for Austria, I think that the situation is different but I'm not sure if it's true, it's just my opinion. I think that most of the people are getting maried and get kids.
